Rin Tin Tin Teams up with Animation Artist
An amazing college student, Jamie Ohman of New York, has designed new animations of Rin Tin Tin that will be used not only for the entertainment of fans in several venues including the website, but as the cornerstone of the new ARFkids logo as well.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Jamie Ohman. Her work is simply awesome and the entire board of directors of Rin Tin Tin is so very appreciative of he exemplary work. She is so very talented," said Daphne Hereford, owner/breeder Rin Tin Tin.
"It is truly an honor to have these animations available to fans of the website," she added.
Ms. Ohman also creates pet portraits and maintains an exciting website at http://www.dancingcavy.com that also features other artistic services to the public.
"I've always had a love of animals. I started doing pet portraits online in January 2001. I was always drawing the same things over and over and so I thought it would be good practice and a nice challenge to do other animals," Ms. Ohman said.
She has had a few people who showed interest in getting a portrait in recent months.
Her earliest influences were Disney movies. She recalled once wanting to draw all 101 Dalmatians.
She has taken art classes all her life some were required in school but she also participated in extracurricular projects.
She participated in advanced art in 8th grade and continued in high school although it was not required.
She currently attends college and is majoring in Animation with minors in Art History and Spanish. She will graduate in May. She won honorable mention in the National Penwomen's Art Contest for her piece "¡Viva!" in spring 2003.
Her T-shirt design was chosen for the GSDRing T-shirts for the Sieger show in Toronto, Canada in 2003.
"I have no definite plans for myself when I graduate but I hope to be able to work in the animation field," she added.
She has owned a fair variety of animals such as goldfish, hermit crabs, and tropical fish. She says the best pets she ever owned were four guinea pigs: Rusty, Rascal, Coco and Micah.
"They were my first fuzzy pets and I was very close to them. I have always wanted a dog but was never allowed to have one. Once I get out of college, I hope to get a German Shepherd Dog. I love them. They are such great all-around-dogs," she concluded.
